Situated 20km north-west of Melbourne’s central business district within the City of Brimbank, settlement of Delahey dates back to the mid-1880s when much of the land was used for farming.

Development of the suburb into a residential area did not occur until the mid-1980s when the government acquired the land for re-subdivision into residential property. Even today, the suburb is still relatively unknown despite offering a laidback country lifestyle to local residents only 20km from the city.

Bordered by Taylors Hill, Taylors Lakes, Sydenham and Keilor Downs, Delahey residents have a wide choice of a schools, public transport options, shopping centres, restaurants and parks including the Delahey Recreation Reserve and Delahey Village Shopping Centre
