Located 23 km northwest of Melbourne with a population just under 17,000, Taylors Lakes – Calder Park is a relatively recent residential, industrial and commercial area that established many new housing developments in the 1990s.
There are many facilities available in Taylors Lakes including Watergardens Shopping Centre, cinemas, a bowling alley, schools, parks and gardens and sporting grounds. Taylors Creek Trail is popular for locals to take in the magnificent views of Taylors Creek and the successful revegetation of native grasses. Other major features of the area include Calder Park Motorsport Complex, Taylors Lake, Sydenham Reserve and a number of schools.
Bordered by Sydenham and Keilor Downs, this suburb is perfectly positioned for residents to live a relaxed and peaceful lifestyle. Several bus lines service the area whilst the State government has future plans to upgrade and add extra railway tracks on the Sydenham line.
