With a population of over 12,000, Fawkner is located 12km north of the Melbourne CBD. The northernmost suburb in the City of Moreland, most houses in the area were built in the 1950s to 1970s after the Ford Factory was established in Campbellfield.

Bordered to the East by the Merri Creek, Fawkner is known for its great parks and open spaces including the Charles Mutton Reserve and CB Smith Reserve.
